Terms and conditions

I am Ricardo Fusco, based in Porto, Portugal. On Tacho Rapado I share recipes and kitchen notes and provide optional account, saved-recipe and cooking features. These terms explain the conditions for using those features.

Public recipes are free and you can read them without an account. These terms do not constitute food sales, clinical advice or a professional nutrition service. Statistics consent is a separate choice and is not a condition of use.

Use an email address you control and protect your sign-in methods. Do not share credentials or use another person’s account. If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password, end other sessions in settings and tell me using the contact on this page.

Creating an account lets you save recipes and personal adaptations; it does not grant editing or publishing access. You can delete your account in settings after identity confirmation. Deletion removes saved recipes and adaptations from the active database, as described in the privacy policy.

Results and safety

Recipes reflect the stated ingredients, equipment and testing. Results and times can vary with ovens, products, quantities and technique. Check appropriate food safety, storage and cooking; use equipment carefully and supervise children in the kitchen.

Nutrition and allergens

Nutrition information is an estimate, not laboratory measurement or medical advice. Allergen and dietary information has the scope described in each recipe and does not guarantee absence of cross-contamination. Check all ingredients and labels and seek professional advice when needed.

Adaptations and cooking sessions

Personal substitutions and notes are your responsibility and are not recipes reviewed by me. They may change the result, allergens and nutrition. An active cooking session keeps the version and servings you started with; check updates in a new session before cooking again.

Versions and languages

Portuguese and English publications may be updated at different times. An outdated translation retains its complete version and identifies that status. Do not assume ingredients or instructions from different versions are interchangeable.

Cooking, printing and sharing

You may read recipes, cook them, use the print features for personal use and share links to pages. Protected text, photographs, marks and other elements belong to their respective rights holders; retain credits and respect stated licences.

Republication and commercial use

Full republication, commercial use of protected content or use of the brand to suggest an affiliation requires the rights holder’s permission, except where law or a licence permits it. These terms do not remove quotation rights, legal exceptions or freedom to use unprotected ideas, facts and cooking techniques.

Your notes

You retain rights to your notes. You authorise only the storage and processing needed to provide the feature and meet legal obligations. I do not publish them or use them to train models or advertise. Do not enter unlawful content or content that infringes others’ rights.

Responsible use

Do not try to access accounts, drafts or systems without authorisation, bypass security controls, introduce harmful code or overload the service. This does not prevent responsible, good-faith reporting of a vulnerability without exploiting other people’s data.

Availability and saved recipes

I aim to keep the website available and correct errors, but maintenance, failures or content withdrawal may occur. I do not promise uninterrupted availability. A saved recipe follows revisions of the formulation you chose. If that formulation becomes unavailable, I do not silently substitute another.

Access restrictions

I may restrict access as necessary to contain abuse, comply with law or protect the service. Where possible and legally permitted, I will explain why and provide a way to challenge the decision using the listed contact. Restrictions do not remove your data protection rights.

Everyone should adapt use to their circumstances and needs. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or limits mandatory consumer or data protection rights.

Portuguese law applies without displacing mandatory protections available under applicable law in your country of residence. I do not impose an exclusive court that removes your right to use competent courts or supervisory authorities.

If these terms change, I will publish the new version with its date. Material changes to account features should be communicated visibly before taking effect, where applicable. I do not use changes to terms to obtain consent for new data processing.
